I WAS WATCHING MTV. Just hanging out with my roomate and some of the high school teens from our neighborhood. Watching MTV The Real World Vegas. While watching tv I notice that i had to get ready to meet some older friends and hang out. So, i stepped away from our living room and went into the bathroom. While, I was getting ready in el baƱo. MTV started showing some unappropiate stuff.
I knew this because my roomate changed the channel. Right away the kids were tripping on him. So, I heard him explain to them that we do that so they won't have to lust because of some of the footage on tv.
The next day. I was in my political science class. Sitting like always right in the middle of the room, third row from the front. And as i was looking towards the front of the classroom, listening to the profe. I got interupted by a small cough. As i looked to the right to cough in order to avoid disrespecting the person in front of me. I notice one of the guys that always sits in the front row far to the right of the class. HE IS BLIND. I almost cried. Just thinking about how much time some of us men spent time looking at things that bring the wages of sin upon our life. I was convicted by watching my blind peer. God has given us our eyes and every part of our body for his glory. Yet some of are subect to sin.
And it's the hardest thing. But God has given us the authority over evil. And thanks to that we can be free from the heaviest sin us men have.
That's why I was glad when my roomate took the iniciative in flipping the channel when he did. And not allowing corruption, at least at that moment, to penetrate those teens lives.
