Trabaijo

Its true, you cannot work anywhere and not help dislike some of the people you work with. Today was quite a day. There is a dude at work who just became a lead whom I don't get along with all that much. So, we are driving along taking peoples orders and making their drinks, at one point I began getting frustrated because this dude is marking cups and he is marking them wrong. Now, I'm the one that deals with the customers because i'm making the drinks. At a point of frustration, I tell them my co-workers to please marks the cups right becuase I'm getting backed up on my drinks. After we get the rush out this dude walks up to me and tells me I offended him. I apologized and we go on. The rest of my shift he keeps on talking to me in a very jerkish way, not what you would expect from a lead at my job. Later, i'm clocking out and he tells me to do a bus, which just means check the lobby and so forth, I tell him if I do that i'm going to go over my time, which is something the store manager doesn't like. So, again in a louder jerkish voice, he tells me to do it. So, I do and after I clocked out I asked him if I had offended him in some way or if he had something against me. His answer to this was, "Welcome to the fan club."
After finishing telling him that if he had something to tell me to please do so instead carrying that attitude with me. Before I leave I let the store manager know I had talked to him and thats where we are at.
Baby Shower

This past saturday my mother-n-law had a baby shower for lil' Emi. I personally can't say that I'm all about kicking back at baby showers and as a matter of fact this is the first one I go to. It was fun despite my horrible brother-n-law who was giving crap to some of my friends. The dude isn't really that horrible but he has his head up his butt not literally.
The good thing about the party was I ddidn't have to fix anything or get anything ready. My only assignment was to get coffee, and since I now work at Starbucks I was able to just buy a traveler jug which are very convinient, and cheap since I get a pretty good discount. I gotta give it up for my store manager, who is going to remain nameless, for hooking me up with plenty of pastries. After the funkadelic party and receiving all the prensets we went home to hang out with some friends and despite how tired I was I stayed up until 3 fixing babys corner. People have been very graceful in their giving thank God. My brother Javi gave us a crib, carseat and plenty of baby clothes not to mention all the advice from him and his wife. Thanks guys.
I also want to thank Lissette and Martha for their presents, they are awesome.

I'm excited about the arrival, one more week.

Tank Yus To Las Tias

I want to shout out and thank two special friends of my wife and I's. They sent clothes for baby Sergio Emiliano. We both felt blessed by that and believe me yus baby boy is going to know about this when he is older. I pray to God that He blesses you guys as much as He has blessed us by having you as our friends and family in Christ. We received the stuff you sent this past week with the very special cards. Please receive our love, hughs and kisses.
Fake Bill$

Work was rather interesting yesterday. Working on register is always challenging on different levels, finding all the items that people can order is the most challenging one, the other one is making sure you are watching out for fake bills. Last night, I got take twice, a couple of young males came in and paid with fake twenties. By the third time i caught on to thier littl scheme. It was a bummed out because they got away and of course because I was short on my till. Not a big deal, the managers told me not to worry about it and to be careful next time, I still gotta talk to the store manager and get it from him.
This week we had a district meeting to go over the holydays sales, there is going to be a lot of new items that are going to be offered, so we had to get to know those and do tasting. Also, I found out that as partners we get 40% off on all the merchindise, it looks like i'm going to be able to buy that esspresso machine I've been wanting. A lot of good things happening. I'm getting to know more the people I work with and beginning to understand the politics. At our district meeting I was able to catch up with the manager that hired me, she is from Hawaii, she told me she was really happy that I was with the team. She said she fought for me to go work at her store but the other hiring manager had dips on new partners and she wasn't able to do much about. I felt good when she told me she saw manager written all over me and that after the holydays if I wasn't getting trained to take on more responsability to give her a call. Hopefull the fake bills I got won't count against me. My lesson was learned, but I still asked myself why, and maybe God knows why.

Drink Calling

"Pey Pey I have your Venti Pumpkin Spice Latte on bar."

Working at Starbucks has been pretty chill so far. I'm learning a lot, and this week I will be a fully certified barista which is something I'm excited about.
